The Challenge
USR Electronic Systems, a global company that provides EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) products for various market segments, used Panasonic’s PBX for business communications for the last 15 years. At the start of the pandemic, USR immediately noticed gaps in their business communication after making the shift to a hybrid work environment. This is when they started to show interest in making Microsoft Teams their sole UC platform.
This move required USR to upgrade their network and start their migration to Microsoft Teams. However, network infrastructure issues that occurred during the migration caused hundreds of their work from home employees to experience unstable connections and overall poor communication quality. This included one-way voice traffic, multiple audio disruptions and endless voice roadblocks across their three remote sites in Israel.
Their PBX vendor, PSTN service provider and legacy PBX vendor were unable to find a solution, leaving USR with poor communications, both internally and externally.
The Solution
A few of USR’s requirements included a high-quality, robust and stable unified communications solution with high availability and seamless migration, but most importantly, an immediate plug and play solution. Their IT team evaluated various voice networking solutions that could potentially meet their Microsoft Teams requirements, and eventually reached out to AudioCodes for our Live Teams solution.
